STUDENTS!
LEARN TO READ! LEARN TO READ BETTER!
We provide FREE, CONFIDENTIAL tutoring to any adult who wants help with reading, math, earning a high school diploma, or learning English as a second language.
TUTORS!
DO YOU WANT TO HELP ADULTS IN YOUR COMMUNITY?
Literacy Volunteers provides tutor training to adults interested in helping other adults learn. Volunteer tutors help other adults with reading, writing, math, earning high school diplomas, and learning English as a second language.
All volunteers receive free training, materials, and support; in return, LVEP asks tutors to commit to 50 hours of volunteer work over a year - about one hour a week with a student.
To become a student or tutor, or to get more information about LVEP's program, contact Deidre Schaefer at the Morgan County Library, or call LVEP's main office at (304) 264-0298.
LVEP is a proud member agency of United Way of Berkeley-Morgan Counties and United Way of Jefferson County.
